	Feb 12	Second Announcement. Call for abstracts.
	August 15th	Deadline for receipt abstracts.
	August 30th	Notification to authors on acceptance of papers as oral, or poster presentation, and final choice of workshops to be organized.
	September 15th	Deadline for registrations (hotel booking, pre – symposium and post – symposium tour booking, as well as registration for the IAS 2009).
	October 10th	Deadline for receipt manuscripts for Acta Horticulturae.
	October 27th - 28th	Pre Symposium Tour (Chavimochic Valley).
	October 29th - November 1st	Symposium.
	November 1st - 2nd	Post Symposium Tour (Ica Valley) .

The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the XIIth International Asparagus Symposium to be held from Thursday October 29th until Sunday November 1st 2009, in Lima , Peru.

The IAS 2009 is organized under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and is hosted by the Peruvian Asparagus & Vegetables Institute, PromPerú and Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Lima, Peru.
